On October 6, 1995, FOCUS received word that the Secretary of the Interior Bruce Babbitt and the Director of U.S. Fisheries and Wildlife Service Director Mollie Beattie are considering the issue of transferring the Annex to U.S. Fisheries and Wildlife Refuge sometime in the next week. We need your letters and phone calls NOW!


What YOU can do!

Send a letter, fax, or email to Secretary Babbitt and Director Beattie to state your support for the proposed Annex transfer! You may jump to the contact information.

A list of issues for you to use in writing a letter is available below. Sample letters for downloading and printing is available at: text/interior.txt and text/f-wdir.txt. If you chose to use the sample letter, we would encourage you to add some personal comments to the letter as "form letters" are much less effective.
